This varies from client to client.If you already have a robust content archive, like a blog, newsletter, podcast, or YouTube channel, we usually only need 1-2 hours per month to review your content strategy and approve new posts.If you're starting from scratch, we typically ask for another 1-2 hours per month to either join a 1:1 interview or pass video/voice notes back and forth to respond to prompts that help us flesh out our ideas.The nice thing is, a single 60-minute interview typically creates 5-10 solid content ideas, so we very quickly build up a backlog that can allow us to scale back the interview requirements over time.
how much writing do i need to do myself?
In a perfect world, very little.It might be more appropriate to say, "Only as much as you'd like to."This comes down to personal preference. Some clients are happy to be completely hands-off, whereas others like to make sure they "put their finger prints" on everything they publish.We're good either way, but we do our best to make sure that any writing you do is because you want to, not because you have to.
what if I want to take things over myself?
No problem at all. In fact, that's a huge win for us.That means you're seeing results. It kind of falls under that whole "teach a man to fish" allegory.We've had engagements that last anywhere from a few months (Ex: parental leave) to a few years, and everything in between.If you want take over, we'll be happy to facilitate a smooth transition and set you up for success going forward.
